Being Remembered and Inscribed During the 10 Days of Repentance

'Return, O Yisrael, unto HaShem your G‑d.'
– Hoshea 14:2

The Aseret Yemei Teshuvah (The 10 Days of Repentance or Returning), which is the period between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, is an auspicious time to evaluate our accomplishments and our failings in the past year. Knowing where and how we failed helps us begin the process of repentance, correct our misdeeds, and return to HaShem.

Pidyon Nefesh

In addition to the merit a person receives for giving tzedakah and learning Torah, which are very great, the Pidyon Nefesh is the best known segulah to remove judgments from a person. This segulah protects you and your family and brings down blessing from Hashem.

Rabbi Shepherd will be making Pidyon Nefesh according to the custom of the Arizal on behalf of all those who wish to participate. The tikkun will be made Erev Yom Kippur (Tuesday, October the 4th).
