The Tikon of the Ar"i Z"l, according to Rabbi Yehudah Petayah
for every man or woman, old or young for every single sin of his should be corrected individually. It will also save the man from the punishment of "Kaf Hakela" (slingshot of the soul), and he will never be delivered to the Mazikim (destroyers Engels).
There are all kinds of levels of sins. the Ar"i Z"l wrote in his book Shar Ruach HaKodesh, the number of days of fasts needed for each sin. For example, for falsehood Sheker one needs 100 28 or 37 Fasts for Pride Gaavah one needs 55 Fasts. For the sin of dishonoring mother and father, one needs 45 fasts".
For example If a man heaven forbid has one sin that includes two sins, such as, if he slept with a man's wife, while she was in Niddah(a time when she is forbidden). It is considered that every sin is counted individually, and he should do Tikon for each one separately. as it is said in the Shar Ruach HaKodesh (the gate of Devine
Inspiration) of the Ar"i Z"l that one should not do one tikkun for two separate sins. Accordingly, if one committed the same sin on several occasions then it should be, if possible, corrected each separately.
According to the Ben Ish Chai, if a person sins even a hundred times, one need not make torments and fasts for the specific sin more than three times, But Rabbi Petaya wrote in his book "In my humble opinion, it is necessary to correct every single instance individually for each sin itself, and even up to 100 separate sins and as
I wrote regarding a tormented soul Tikkun.”
Returning to the example of the guy that slept with a man's wife, while she was Niddah, if he made Tikon at least for one of the two wrongdoings, after 120 years They will take him to an "operating room", so to speak, and do a little "surgery" to remove the stains from his soul. this is not so pleasurable. but then, after
that he will be able to come up to heaven, he will not be handed over to the Mazikim for the "Kaf Hakela" punishment according to Rabbi Yehudah Petaya.
If someone is unable to fast the number of days recommended by the Ari, he may redeem his fast bay giving Tzhedaka money, rate worth buying one bread and dip of one meal. The rich according to his wealth and the poor according to his poverty
So, For example, it is written for a particular offense that requires him to make 82 fasts then he will assess the price of a meal and a dip. So let's say one meal costs 10 shekels. So 10 shekels times the meals one has in a day (we are using 1 to make the math simpler) then times the 82 fasts equals 820 shekels. And this is the amount
he should give to the poor.
This should be done along with special teshuva and prayers.
The Ari writes:
1)The best practice: To make amends and fasts for every individual sin which the Ari wrote in the summary of fasts to fast. If you sinned one sin several times, one should make the order of this correction several times. Even up to a hundred times.
2) Second level: If one is unable to take on so many fast days one should take upon himself of one entire fast like Yom Kippur and for the other fasts he should redeem with charity and he will prorate for each time that sin was
recommitted even up to a hundred times.
3) Third Level: If he cannot redeem the money rate of fasts of that sin at one time, he can make “payments” by giving charity every time before eating.
4) Fourth level: If he cannot afford the multiplications and make the correction for that sin every time which has accumulated in this particular sin, he will do the correction with fasts and charity redemptions only up to 3 times. (as brought in the Ben Ish
Chai).
5) Fifth Level: Same as the 4th level but instead of 3 times just do it only once.
6) Sixth Grade: If he cannot do any of the above, he will do the correction 3 times for the same organ that he sinned with even though they are sins that are different totally from each other.
