Today is Rosh Chodesh Iyar, known in the Zohar for being a month when prayers are readily accepted, also is good day for healing spiritually and physically above the laws of nature!  there are many Yahrzeit of Tzadikim on Rosh Chodesh which give it extra special energy for salvations  the Yahrzeit of Rabbi Yaakov Emden (who we have started giving classes on his book through you tube) was yesterday and today is the Yahrtzeit of Rabbi Chaim Vital. 

When he was 14 years old, Rabbi Chaim Vital  was accepted into the Bet Midrash of Rabbi Moshe Alshich where he learned with great attention. He was magnetised to the study of the secret part of Torah, Kabbalah. After a while, he joined the study hall of Rabbi Moshe Cordovero from whom he learned Kabbalah, he studied diligently and he almost didn’t sleep.The Ariza"l testified about Rabbi Chaim Vital that he was the only one who could understand the Araiza"l’s teachings in their proper depth and really get their meaning. For 2 years straight Rabbi Chaim Vital learned Kabbalah by the Ariza"l receiving wonderful Torah secrets never before heard. Once Rabbi Vital asked the Ariza"l to explain him something specific and the Ari replied that he couldn’t because it would cause his death. After more thought he decided to teach Rabbi Vital those things thinking to himself, that his whole reason for being in the world was in order to give over these discoveries to Rabbi Vital. A short while after training Rabbi Vital these things he indeed was nifter.  On 30 Nissan, 5380, 397 years ago Rabbi Chaim Vital passed away and he was buried in Damascus.  May Rabbi Chaim Vital's merit protect us.
