In our Parasha it talks about the names of Hashem. Hashem speaks with Moshe Rabenu, and tells him of the spiritual revelation that the forefathers experienced.
I appeared to Avraham, Isaac, and Yacov as El Shadai, but I did not make Myself known to them by My name יקוק.(Havaya) What is special in both names and what are the differences?
The name of Kel Shakay that is the revelation that the forefathers merited in its simple understanding is the attribute of giving a promise. This is the promise that from their lineage would become a great nation, that of Am Yisrael (the nation of Israel).
With the Name of Havaya, is simply past present and future, all in one. This is the structure of all of existence, as we could say the big picture. The Torah is telling us that our forefathers did not get to this level of revelation that Moshe Rabenu did. It is brought down in the writings of the Kabbalah that the revelation and level of prophecy that Moshe Rabenu received was the highest of all, As the
Rambam, says in the 13 principles of faith that Moshe Rabenu is the father of all prophets those that preceded him and those that followed him. We can use a parable to try to understand this.
if the master plan of Hashem for the creation is a huge picture, each individual has different sized pipe or tube that he looks through to be able to see the picture, and according to the size of the tube will be the amount of the picture that he can see. Obviously how much bigger a view one has one will have a better understanding of what the picture is. No one can see the full picture
except hashem even the biggest prophets and the Angels and the Souls in the world to come. As it is written in Tehilim;
'that You have made him little less than divine, and adorned him with glory and majesty;'
On this Pasuk the sages teach us that it is talking about Moshe Rabenu. "You have made him little less than divine(Original is written Elokim), Chazal continues to explain that there is 50 gates of understanding that were created by Hashem. this is the full picture we spoke about before.
All of the gates were given to Moshe Rabenu except one of them. the missing gate is the 50th gate, the Sefira of Keter. Keter is the full picture that was never shown to any creation. Although it will be given to Mashiach! Even though we say that Moshe Rabenu was the father of all Prophets before and after, Mashiach is the exception. Mashiach is really an extension or better phrased a continuation of Moshe Rabenu. As we
explained in the article of Moshiach Ben Yosef and Mashiach Ben Dovid, Even though no one except him will be able to see it, he will be able to relay to us the big picture! Speedily in our days Amen

Shovavim
There is a famous Segulah to do the 'real' Tikon for sexual sins, from The Arizal. The Ariza"l wrote in the book “Gate of Devine
Inspiration”. Even though Tehshuva is always needed, still, to completely rectify the soul from the sin one needs to do a tikkun. Shovavim is an Auspiciousness time in the year to accomplish these Tikonim. In these weeks we read in the weekly Parsha, starting with Parshat
Shemot, the process of Am Yisrael, (that symbolizes the sparks of holiness,) that fell into the slavery of Egypt, that symbolizes the negative side (Kilpot). Part of the reason of the slavery was in order to lift up all the holy sparks, that fell in wrong places after the sin of Adam Harishon. Through the hard work and suffering they lifted up most of it. The Levi’im who didn’t work in slavery, did the part of elevating the holy
sparks through Torah learning, Prayers and Jewish Meditations. How we finnaly left Egypt while taking all of these holy sparks out of the grip of the negative side. Until Parshat Mishpatim, where Am Yisrael got the main Mitzvot of the Torah. And then the Parsha of Terumah and Tetzaveh that are talking about the building of the Mishkan. Wich symbolizes the completion of the elevation and rectification of the sparks to holiness.
So, the days of Shovavim are eight weeks were the first six weeks we read the parasiot of Shemot, Veara, Bo, Beshalach, Yitro,
Mishpatim. The acronym of the first letters of those parasiot is Shovavim, hinting at the pasuk:
“Shuvu Banim Shovavim” (“Return Wayward Sons”“שובו בנים שובבים " Jeremiah 3:14,22). it continues another two weeks, Teruma Tezave, hence this year the time is called שובבי”ם ת”ת.
There ancient custom of fasting 40 complete days, The days of “Shovavim”, are days to fix the damage done to one’s “Bris Kodesh” (“Holy Covenant”). There are many facets to how to rectify the Bris. The general sin, which almost everyone is guilty of, is one form or another of sexual impropriety. This can mean
forbidden relations or behaviors on one’s own part, or even the mere thoughts that we allow ourselves to think. Our Sages and especially the Masters of the Kabbalah emphasize that sexual blemishes are the greatest stains upon the soul and serve to create great distance between our Creator and ourselves. Yet, it is never enough just to proclaim our remorse or desire to repent. A change of attitude must accompany our statements of remorse. Repentance must be taken to heart and acted upon with true
sincerity, and then a tikkun must be done to fix and purify the garments the soul. For generations fasting has been an essential tool to help one come closer to Hashem and rectify ones soul! Unfortunately in our generation were are bodies are much weaker then those of the previous generation some of us, maybe most of us, are not able to physically accomplish so many fasts.
What are the Tikkunim?
Why do these fasts help?
What can be done instead of fasting to get the same results?
With Hashem's Help we will try to give you the answers to these questions in the upcoming emails.
By the way we have available for free on the website the Tikkun Shovavim of the Viduy of the Kabbalist Rabbi Pataya in three languages with Hebrew, English Spanish and French (thank you to the anonymous contributors that helped fund translations this year)
